1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AI School Mentor (the "Service"), provided by AI School Mentor ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you are prohibited from using the Service.

AI School Mentor is an AI-powered educational assistant designed to provide academic guidance, career roadmaps, and administrative support for students (K-12 and beyond). The Service utilizes Large Language Models (LLMs) and third-party AI providers to generate personalized content.

3. AI Service Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Important notice regarding AI-generated content:

Accuracy: AI is experimental and may generate inaccurate, incomplete, or biased information. Do not rely solely on the Service for critical academic decisions, college applications, or financial planning.
"As Is" Basis: The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties regarding the reliability or accuracy of the AI's output.
No Professional Advice: Suggestions provided by the AI do not constitute professional academic, legal, or financial advice. Always consult with a qualified school counselor or professional advisor.

4. Eligibility & Parental Consent

If you are under the age of 18, you represent that you have received permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service. In accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), users under the age of 13 must have verifiable parental consent obtained through their school or directly by contacting us.

5. User Conduct & Content

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to generate content that is:

Hateful, threatening, or discriminatory.
Academic dishonesty (e.g., using the Service to cheat on exams or bypass plagiarism detection).
Attempts to "jailbreak" or subvert the AI's safety filters.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and original branding, is the property of AI School Mentor. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Service for personal, educational purposes. Content generated by the AI for you may be used for your personal academic benefit.

7. Subscription & Payments

While basic features may be offered for free, we reserve the right to introduce premium tiers or usage-based pricing. Any changes to pricing will be communicated via the Service or email at least 30 days prior to implementation.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for conduct that we deem harmful to the community.

9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved through binding arbitration in California, rather than in court, except where prohibited by law.
